Many people are into the sport of going RV’ing during the year, and are always on the lookout for great places to stay. One of the highly-recommended places in North Carolina is the Lake Norman RV Resort. It has lots of fun activities nearby, and offers great amenities at the campsites themselves.
Lake Norman RV Resort is in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina near Charlotte. It has three tiers of campsites, 18 feet wide paved roads so RVs are sure to fit, and even a valet escort that helps campers get set up. Plus, you won’t have to worry about your safety, as there is plenty of security with a gate, security cameras and a wrought-iron fence all around the resort for your protection.
There are 58, 30 feet by 45 feet campsites and each of them has a full 30/50 amp hookup, free Wi-Fi for Internet access, a picnic table, concrete pad, trash pickup, trash bags, and there is a laundry on site complete with washers and dryers, flush toilets, as well as private showers for guests.
Lake Norman RV Resort is also pet friendly so you don’t have to leave your furry family members behind. Two pets are allowed per campsite. However, the resort does have restrictions and doesn’t accept pit bulls, Rottweiler, miniature pinschers, chows, giant schnauzers, Papillion, or Lhas Apso dogs.
Rates for camping at the Lake Norman RV Resort are $30 to $55 a night and the cost depends on the kind of RV and the season you are staying. You can also rent a boat slip for $25 a day, pontoon boats for $200 a day or $150 for half day. These and other fun water activities are available.
Plus there are fun activities nearby such as the Lowe’s Motor Speedway, or dinner cruises on the Catawba Queen, a replica Mississippi paddle wheel boat. If you enjoy Renaissance Festivals, come in the fall for the nearby Annual Carolina Renaissance festival in Huntersville. They set up a replica of a 16th century village with knights and other festivities.
